YOUNG MASTERS

The Young Masters series was created to address the need for platforms that spotlight young pioneers in the arts, with a particular focus on celebrating young people of color who showcase excellence in diverse and innovative ways. Dedicated to highlighting artists who have achieved extraordinary mastery in their craft early in their careers, the series provides a space for celebrated musicians, comedians, culinary artists, digital creators, poets, and multidisciplinary artists to share their work on their own terms, showcasing the depth and range of their talents.

Each performance in the series is a co-bill, pairing two or more artists whose work connects in unexpected and compelling ways. Alongside presenting their individual sets, the artists come together for a collaborative moment – either opening or closing the show – offering audiences a rare chance to witness creative exchange unfold in real time.

To date, Young Masters has featured groundbreaking performances, including 15-time Latin Grammy-nominated DJ and producer TROOKO alongside music entrepreneur, DJ, and producer Toribio, celebrating their roles as leading voices in Latin electronic music from Central America and the Caribbean. Another show brought together acclaimed Spanish singer-songwriter Lau Noah, fresh from a European tour with Jacob Collier and critical acclaim for her debut album, with Mafer Bandola, a globally recognized Venezuelan bandola llanera player known for her mastery of the instrument. This event honored the contributions of women to folk music traditions. Through Young Masters we’ve also explored the world of comedy with a co-bill featuring three-time Emmy-nominated Saturday Night Live writer Alex English and Late Night with Seth Meyers writer Jeff Wright, whose social media influence has positioned him as a major voice in contemporary comedy. Together, they highlighted the contributions of writers in the art of comedy and storytelling.

Young Masters is about more than just performances; it’s a new way of celebrating excellence within a new generation of artists eager to share their stories with the world. Rooted in a curatorial vision that values pluralism, the series fosters a vibrant community of audiences and artists alike, creating an environment that is innovative and deeply inviting.
