YADDO BENEFIT GALA 2015
THE OFFICE co-produced the 2015 Yaddo Benefit Gala in NYC. Each year Yaddo welcomes more than 200 artists from the United States and abroad, representing the fields of dance, film, literature, visual arts, musical composition, and performance art. Collectively, their work has touched millions of lives. Residencies of two weeks to two months are offered, at no charge to the artist, on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. At the time of the 2015 gala, since the residency program began in 1926, Yaddo artists had been awarded 69 Pulitzer Prizes, 68 National Book Awards, a Nobel Prize, three Academy Awards, multiple Sundance Film Festival Awards, 499 Guggenheim Fellowships, 42 National Book Critics Circle Awards, 29 MacArthur Fellowships, numerous Emmy and Grammy awards, and many other honors.
The 2015 gala, which honored Laurie Anderson with the Yaddo Artist Medal, was a festive affair honoring Laurie Anderson and hosted by Steve Buscemi and Kate Valk and featuring performances and presentations by Young Jean Lee, A.M. Homes, Tim McHenry, Ayad Akhtar, Eisa Davis, a DJ set by Andrew Andrew, and a choice of filet au poivre, Chilean sea bass, or Holland red pepper with ratatouille.
